SYNOPSIS:
Western Civilization I includes this:
- A Christian-worldview overview of world history
- Audio-Visuals – Radio addresses, photographs, and film clips of key historical events
- Nation Briefs – Students choose a nation they’re interested in and report on its characteristics over the year
- Classic Music Pieces – Some of the all-time greats!
Western Civilization I includes the study of a Biblical worldview of history, Sumer, the Middle East, Israel, Asia, African cultures, ancient Greece and Rome, early Christian church history, the Byzantine Empire, the Dark Ages, medieval culture, modern nations, and the Reformation.
TEXT(S)/MATERIALS NEEDED:
- World History and Cultures in Christian Perspective (This is a link to the Third Edition, but a used Second Edition copy works fine.)
- Ancient Rome: How It Affects You Today
- Microsoft Word or something that can produce .doc or .docx documents, like Google Docs
- High-speed Internet, email
